JTM Pongal function : Nov 27th deadline reminder for participant’s entry

Vanakkam,
Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend with their
family and friends.

This is a reminder for everyone interested in
participating in the Pongal function to give their’s
or their children’s names to the
coordinators/ choreographers on or before the deadline
which is Tue, Nov 27th. Groups are filling up fast, so
please respond ASAP.

There have been couple of responses from parents whose
child’s age does not fall under any of the age groups
mentioned in my previous e-mail. If that’s the case
with your child and he/she would like to participate,
then please give me a call at 904-6382918 and we will
try our best to accomodate them in one of the groups.
The last date for such cases is Thurs, 29th Nov.

We have also added a program for girls ages 15yrs and
above. Interested parents please give your girl’s name
to Shweta at (904)287-4500 by Thurs, Nov 29th.

For families living in or near CR210, I’m sorry to
inform you that I couldn’t find any choreographers in
your area, so please go ahead and join the other
groups. I request the coordinators to accomodate these
children. Thanks for understanding. The deadline for
these families is also Thurs, Nov 29th.

Please note that this Nov 29th deadline is only for
the above mentioned special cases. For the rest of the
groups it’s still Tue, Nov 27th.

A gentle reminder to participants to renew their
memberships if it expires in Jan or become members
before the Pongal function. You need to be a member to
take part in the programs. Thank You for your support.

JTM Pongal Function invitation for entries

It is my pleasure to serve you as the vice-president
for 2008 and take on the responsibilities of
coordinating the cultural programs for next year.
Since January is not too far, we (EC 2008)thought of
starting the process of getting programs for the
Pongal function. In this regard, my first e-mail is to
request for the entries for participants. Please give
your and your child’s name according to their
age/abilities to the following
choreographers/ co-ordinators.

Fancy Dress (20 min) – Girls and boys ages 4 and

Girls ages 7 to 8 and boys ages 9 to 12 (10 min).

Ladies program (20 min)- For this we are inviting all
the ladies to take part. If anyone already has any
ideas and would like to choreograph for this program
then please give me a call. For entries please give a
call to Vidya 904-5649399.

Families living in the 210/St.John’ s county area can
give their child’s name to Sudha at 904-2808733. We
don’t have a choreographer yet for this group so if
anyone living in this area can help us out, then
please give me a call. If we don’t get anyone, then we
will have to put the kids in other groups.

The time alloted to each group is maximum possible, so
please stick to it. Short and sweet always tastes
best.

All the entries need to be given to their respective
group co-ordinator/ choreographer by 27th Nov. This
deadline will be enforced strictly, otherwise we won’t
get enough time to practice. And it will also be
unfair to ask the choreographers to teach the steps
again and again to new comers. They are volunteering
their time to do this along with their jobs and
families. We hope everyone understands this and we
appreciate your help in this matter.
One more request to the participants, please become
members of JTM before participating in any of the
programs. That’s also a requirement for taking part in
the programs. Some of our memberships, including my
family’s, might be expiring in Jan, so please renew it
on time. JTM is able to function only because of your
kind contribution.
I would also like to remind everyone that the
success of our functions is not just due to the EC but
it involves the efforts of the whole group. So, lets
come together with ideas and make a successful and
enjoyable 2008.

Dear Members,

On behalf of Jacksonville Tamil Mandram Executive Committee for year 2008, I am delighted to welcome you all to participate in making the next year events successful.
In every accounts, the current EC organized all the programs exceptionally well. They still in full steam and have three more events scheduled. We appreciate their hard work.
